Danote

A 4 track deep house single (30m 8s) — released December 22nd 2008 on Universal Vibes

The latest release on universal vibes comes from London based DJ/producer, Darko and the the Strange worlds collective Strange Worlds first release with Universal Vibes is in fact a mile stone. Simplicity is the operative word best to describe this release. The over sexed sax solo of Sexaphone (a one take wonder performed by Ben Hadwen) takes house music to a new level, whilst Danote on the other hand reflects on the hypnotic repetitive hook. deep techy house music at its best SELECTED DJ QUOTES: DAN CURTIN Soulful Atmosphere is the name of the game on this EP. I really like the combination of the organic funk in 'Sexaphone' with the spaced out deepness 'Danote'. Excellent house music for a bright future. DJ 3000 UR / MOTECH Got the promos today as been away - will check them out over the weekend. DUBFIRE Good stuff,Could you please send over the 320kbs versions? JOSH WINK dig the tracks. both the club one and the original can be used at the right times! deep with a tinge of electronics! FABRICE LIG Really nice EP. I really like 'Danote', the club edit, but 'Sexaphone' is a really great track too (my favourite). CHRIS VOGADO (ZERO DB) Yo Paddy, hit me up with the full quality will ya? Liking the sound of Danote extended.... NICO DE CEGLIA CODEX / BBC RADIO 1 Nice one. I'm going to play it out this weekend (4 out of 5) . MICHEL DE HEY I like the vibe and the sounds of the main track, reminds me of early global communications. I will play it over the weekend. DJ NOVA Danote and sexaphone are two different tarcks Danote reminds the old good fcom days so will get 5 star rating Sexaphone is really amazing with this breakdown ROLANDO I like both 'Danote' mixes on this. FRANKIE MEDINA GREAT FUTURE SYNTH SWIRLS MEETS OLD SCHOOL HOUSE DRUMS. WILL DEFINITELY WORK IN MY SETS. ROB MELLO I do like these releases and will be playing out. NICK LUSCOMBE Great track! Featured on Flomotion. JOTA WAGNER i'm really diggin the Danote club mix here... great feelings in it! full suport in sao paulo dancefloors. ANDY CATO/PACK UP AND DANCE it's very good ep full support from us could we have a copy please LEIGH MORGAN (URBAN TORQUE) Nice vibes here, Danote being the one, cool trippy and hypnotic PALMSKIN PRODUCTIONS I'm liking these. Danote is the more obvious one to play out, but Sexaphone is crying out for a Soundhack style re-edit - keep thinking it's going to crossfade into Outstanding by The Gap Band... ...which is a good thing. TYLER STADIUS Excellent tunes here. Deep and vibey. The "Sexaphone" is lovely. TERRY MITCHELL D-EDGE / THE ELECTRIC UNDERGROUND / DARK HOUSE MUSIC Verrrry nice. Playing the Extended mix and 'Sexaphone' (4 out of 5) CIAN CIOBAHN 110TH STREET / 'AN TAOBH TUATHAIL' ON RTE ANOCHT FM Yes, nice and deep, have played twice. EDDIE (HUDDTRAX) really feelin' the deep vibes on the club mix of Danote, please send oN JAMES MOUNTAIN (MINISTRY RADIO) can i get 320 to download for the show tomorrow please? ERIK SCHNEIDER (GIANT STEP NEW YORK) WOW! That Sexaphone joint is the jam! I NEED THAT! AL BRADLEY (3AM RECORDINGS) great sounding release, looking forward to playing 'Danote' at Bugged Out, reminds me a little of some of Carl Craig's recent output, but still retaining its individuality - loving that really long intro on the extended version! As for 'Sexaphone', I'd actually prefer it without the sax, if I'm being really honest. I love the backing track & it'd be an absolute killer dubby deep house jam, but I'm not overly fond of sax on house tracks, as it's very dificult to make it sound non-noodly. A great vibe overall though ALEX ATTIAS this is great. both tracks are good to play out or radio play. please send lin for support. ALEX FROM TOKYO Sexaphone is the jam for me! - Atjazz/Mantis Very Bouncy, Danote (Club Edit) being the one, a good warmer-upper! JIMPSTER cheers for this new one. Sounds heavy! Danote extended mix sounds like it'll cause some damage .
